2 New Videos From PoP

Check out the latest in video work from Proof of Purchase! We’ve got two new short videos up now (watch them in HD!):

No Mercy On Mischief Night is a short horror/thriller directed by PoP filmmaker Nick DeCandio. Mischief Night follows the story of a small group of friends trying their best to dismiss the reality of an eerie found footage tape they’ve stumbled upon. Only after it’s too late do they realize the consequences of doubting the power behind the dark spirits that haunt them. Shot with a Panasonic AG-HMC40 and Canon EOS Rebel T3i on location at SUNY Purchase College.

More Rubber Bandz, directed by PoP actor/filmmaker Matt Siretta, marks the debut release of Purchase-based rap group Heatherz (Terrible Gorgeous, Danny Glamour, & J Fizz). A brand new song from their soon to be mixtape hit! Shot with a Canon 7D on location at Empire Casino and SUNY Purchase College.

Long Time No See

Greetings faithful followers! Following an absurdly long hiatus, we’re back – and this time with more than just a new movie.

As you can undoubtably see, we’ve got a whole new and improved design for the site. Make sure your preferred browser is up to date and you’ll be able to enjoy the flashy, sexy-smooth visuals brought to you by HTML5/CSS3. Featured new stuff includes shadows, rounded edges, and custom fonts amongst other things. If any of this seems not to be working for you, once again check to make sure your browser is up to date (check to make sure your browser doesn’t suck too, I’m looking at you internet explorer…) and come back again.

Exactly as Planted marks PoP’s first steps towards delivering quality shorts and other sorts of film and video entertainment. The story is small, as is the cast, but this is a film with a heart and soul akin to (and inspired by) Pixar shorts. Starring Dan Spaventa and various potted plants, Exactly as Planted follows the unlikely journey of a tiny indoor houseplant with greater aspirations of one day moving to the garden. Continue reading
